Opening in 1995, our original course, The Legend, has quickly become a favorite among golfing enthusiasts. Built on over 200 acres of rolling terrain, carved from towering pine forest and lush natural environmental beauty, this course ranges from 5,255 yards for the ladies to over 7,000 yards from the championship tees. Each hole is unique, however, its the award winning 18th hole, nestled around Woodington Lake, that makes this course truly legendary.
The newest addition to Woodington Lake is the Legacy Course. Dramatically different from the Legend, it is bound for greatness and will leave a lasting impression. The wide open course is a true mix of Links and Stadium styles. However, it's the course's water hazards that make it truly challenging. Complimented by huge, fast and undulating greens, the Legacy offers five sets of tee decks measuring from 5,140 yards from the front tees to an eye opening 7,606 yards from the championship tees.

For the past 7 years Sharp Electronics has hosted the Team Canada 72 Summit Team golf tournament at Woodington Lake; and for good reason. The course has some magnificent holes on top of being an exceptional challenge. On this day we played the Legend, a well-tailored course ranging from 5,255 to just over 7,000 yards with two tee sets between.
Be aware that the first hole has a gully that isn't visible from the tee and for a long hitter a driver is not recommended.
All par 3s can cause a lot of trouble if you don't hit the green. It also appeared that these holes played longer than the yardage indicated.
The Legends course has a great finishing hole. A controlled tee shot needs to land on the fairway. The green is well-protected by a pond on the front and left hand side.
The greens were all in excellent condition with many varying shapes and contours.
The Legends would be a tough walk as the rolling fairways have lots of ups and downs on almost every hole.
I was informed the the other 18 holes (Legacy Course) is more of a links style and is only 5 years old. I look forward to playing this course in the future.
The clubhouse is a great design in all facets. The circular shape offers a substantial dining area for a large tournament. The pro shop is well-equipped and well-stocked.
I really liked the variety of holes. The par 4s and 5s are a good mix of doglegs and straight away hits. Two holes, #1 and #14, may not require a driver off the tee.
