Large bent grass greens. All of the greens are proceeded by narrow approach areas so accuracy will be rewarded. A word of warning about the greens - while they do contain some gentle undulations, the rule of thumb is to allow for less break than appearance would indicate.
Fairways are lush bordered by the native jack pine forest.
There are three sets of tees ranging from 5294 to 6539 yards. The tees are large, flat and in great condition.
This course offers a peaceful and enjoyable golfing experience in the middle of the majestic jack pine forest. Evergreen has been rated among the "Top 100 Best Courses in Canada" and among the "Top 12 Golf Courses in the Saskatchewan/Manitoba area."
At $35 for 18 holes there is no better value for this beautiful golf course.
You know you're in for a challenging round the moment you step foot on its 1st tee. Just shy of 600 yards, this very long and narrow hole will test your golfing prowess immediately. You must try to keep your drive both long and straight to avoid the beautiful northern forest that graces both sides of the 1st fairway. If you do end up in the trees, don't worry. They are more forgiving than they appear. However, you shouldn't make a habit of spraying your shots as the forest is in play throughout the course. In addition, silica sand hazards accent just about every hole, so you will want to play your shots carefully.
Two of the more scenic holes are the 15th and 16th. These secluded holes are completely engulfed by majestic spruce and pine, making the experience of playing them quiet and peaceful.
Golfers are met by very friendly and enthusiastic employees whose only wish is to ensure that you come back.
The Pro Shop is a full-service facility handling clubs, apparel, shoes, accessories and more. The Head Pro and staff are on hand to assist you with any questions you may have about Evergreen or any of their many services. Evergreen is very well equipped to handle any private function or golf tournament. You can grab a quick snack at the concession or a tasty meal from the restaurant upstairs which has a full menu.
There are many stay and play offers from the surrounding businesses which are all very affordable. In close proximity to the Nipawin Evergreen Golf Course, you are minutes from Tobin Lake, houseboat tours, beautiful campgrounds and world trophy walleye fishing just to name a few of the many activities and attractions.
